浙江工商大学坐落于风景秀丽的浙江省会城市杭州，前身是创建于1911年的杭州中等商业学堂，1980年经国务院批准成立杭州商学院，2004年经教育部批准更名为浙江工商大学。百余年来学校一直秉承商科办学传统，尤其是1998年从原商业部直属院校改成“中央与地方共建，以地方管理为主”以来，学校坚持走特色办学之路，以经济学、管理学学科为主，法学、工学等多学科协调发展，办学水平不断提高。2015年，学校被确定为浙江省人民政府、商务部和教育部共建的重点大学。

Zhejiang Gongshang University is located in the scenic city of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. Its predecessor was the Hangzhou Secondary Commercial School, founded in 1911. In 1980, it was approved by the State Council to establish Hangzhou University of Commerce, and in 2004, it was renamed Zhejiang Gongshang University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Over the past century, the university has adhered to its tradition of business education. Particularly since 1998, when it transitioned from being directly under the Ministry of Commerce to a "central and local co-funded institution with local management as the mainstay," the university has pursued a distinctive path of development, focusing on economics and management disciplines, while coordinating the development of law, engineering, and other disciplines, continuously improving its educational standards. In 2015, the university was designated as a key university jointly established by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Education.

浙江工商大学图书馆是学校的文献信息中心，是为教学和科研服务的学术性机构，是学校信息化的重要基地。学校图书馆分下沙校区和教工路校区两处。下沙校区图书馆馆舍面积42000平方米，教工路校区图书馆馆舍面积16000平方米。学校还设有近16个学院图书资料室，与图书馆共同组成学校的文献服务体系。截至2025年底，图书馆馆藏文献总量累计599.62万册，其中纸质文献346.38万册、电子图书253.24万册。图书馆拥有55个数据库，包括中文电子全文期刊4.1万余种、外文电子全文期刊4.2万余种，学位论文975.81万篇。

The Library of Zhejiang Gongshang University serves as the university's literature and information center, an academic institution dedicated to teaching and scientific research, and an important component of the university's information infrastructure. The library has two locations: one on Xiasha Campus and one on Jiaogong Road Campus. Xiasha Campus library covers an area of 42,000 square meters, while Jiaogong Road Campus library covers 16,000 square meters. The university also has nearly 16 departmental libraries, which together with the main library form the university's literature service system. By the end of 2025, the library's total collection amounted to 5,996,200 items, including 3,463,800 physical volumes and 2,532,400 e-books. The library provides access to 55 databases, including over 41,000 Chinese electronic full-text journals, over 42,000 foreign electronic full-text journals, and 9,758,100 dissertations.

图书馆服务功能完备，拥有多种现代化的服务手段，可为读者提供书刊外借、阅览、视听、参考咨询、文献检索、定题服务、读者教育、馆际互借、文献复制、文献传递等多类型、多层次的服务。图书馆现代化技术设备齐全，拥有服务器、各种计算机终端和外部设备近500台（套），存储容量600TB，目前实际存储的电子资源容量为300TB。建成了高带宽的馆内局域网和数字资源服务系统，可通过互联网向网上用户提供文献信息服务。可以随时随地通过多元化网络终端查询本馆的文献收藏信息。

The library offers comprehensive services and utilizes various modern service methods, providing readers with diverse and multi-level services, including borrowing and reading of books and periodicals, audio-visual services, reference consultation, literature retrieval, subject-specific services, reader education, interlibrary loan, document reproduction, and document delivery. The library is equipped with modern technology, including nearly 500 servers, computer terminals, and peripheral devices, with a storage capacity of 600TB, of which 300TB is currently used for electronic resources. A high-bandwidth local area network and digital resource service system have been established, enabling the library to provide literature information services to online users via the Internet. Users can access the library's collection information anytime and anywhere through various networked terminals.

图书馆现有在编职工55人，其中高级职称11人。设办公室、特藏部、阅读推广部、信息咨询部、流通阅览部、采编部、网络技术部和教工路分馆等8个部室。

The library currently has 55 employees, including 11 with senior professional titles. It is organized into eight departments and offices: the Administration Office, Special Collections Department, Departmentof Reading Promotion, Reference & InformationDept, Departmentof Circulation &Reading,Departmentof Book Acquisitions & Cataloging, Department of Cyber Technology, and Jiaogong Road Branch.
