英国皇家学会是英国并且是世界上存在时间最长的科学学术团体，始建于1660年,于1662年由国王查理二世授予皇家证书。皇家学会始终致力于科学发现与探索的最前沿，其核心是它的会员，包括了世界上最伟大的科学头脑。先后涌现出法拉第、牛顿、达尔文、卢瑟福、爱因斯坦、霍金等著名的科学家，当今的著名科学家 Francis Crick 、James Watson、Stephen Hawking 等人也皆为皇家学会会员。目前约有1300名英国国内外会员，其中有65位诺贝尔奖获得者。

NSTL购买了英国皇家学会4种期刊从2006年9月16日—2014年12月31日的使用权，为我国学术型用户和有需求的政府部门开通服务，并争取到3种期刊为我国用户提供同期免费使用。 或通过以下各期刊链接，查阅期刊全文。英国皇家学会网络版期刊通过设在清华大学的镜像站提供服务，用户不需要访问国际网。
